Hi all...

I'm a big noobie at this, so if I state or use the wrong terminology, please forgive me.

At home, I have a pretty nice setup that I am fully satisfied with. I have:

Sony XBR400
Sony DVD w/ Progressive Scan
Denon 2802
Energy Encore 6
Satellite w/ UltimateTV

It's not the best equipment in the world, but it works well for me. But now I want do more. I was hoping that someone can give me general advice (and recommendations) on a drop down motorized screen and a quality projector.

The motorized screens are pretty much self explanatory, but what i'm worried about is the projector. I intend to mount it inbetween my family room and kitchen, giving me about a 18' throw. But with the kitchen closeby, woudl that cause me any problems? Should I buy an enclosure? what about the heat? What kind of lumens(?) do I need, to get a quality picture at night. I just want to watch movies really, since TV is fine, but a little too small for the widescreen mode on most DVD's.

Thanks for you any help you guys can provide.

I have dealt with Hi-Rez Projections in the past. They are very informative and knowledgable and were quite helpful. I don't have the phone number on-hand, but their website is www.hometheater1.com.
