K-mart has Monsters, Inc for $14.87.

For those of you who want to price match, here's a link to the ad so you can print it out.

Just some info added. Best Buy gives about $5-$7 off all movies on for their first week of release. Whatever price you see on the DVD is reduced at the register. I found that out last month when I asked th clerk.

Technically, it's not all movies for their first week of release. Just their loss leaders (products priced cheap to get people into stores, where they presumably will buy other things).

Best Buy's price on Monsters, Inc this week is $16.99. I'll be price matching the K-mart ad there.

Future Shop in Canada's selling it for $19.99 -- about $13 US. Probably a little less at Costco.

I can't help but wonder.... why would you price match at Best Buy when you can buy it hassle-free from KMart... for sure they could use our business.

I still swear by my Blockbuster offers. I preordered Monsters Inc at Blockbuster a couple of weeks ago - for $25 + tax, and yesterday they gave me the movie and I also get 10 free rentals (one per week for ten weeks) which is valued at $41. So I totally get my money's worth, even if i consider I overpaid for the movie by $10.

In addition, since I have a Rewards card, those 10 free rentals count as paid rentals, so basically if I do my renting on Mon / Tue / Wed, I get a non-new release for free, which makes the card worth 20 free rentals to me, as well as the DVD itself!

Because Best Buy had better prices on the other titles I wanted to pick up at the same time. Didn't want to make two trips.

Ok. Walmart, $14.76 (IIRC), probably lower prices on the others she wanted, too.

I was in a hurry, bought it at Target for $16.99, across the street from work. Promised the kids.
