anybody know of encoding software for burning to dvd.

i produce music and have a digital mixer with 5.1 and 7.1 surround matrix for panning capability.
so all the track info gets routed to one of 6 channels (in 5.1 mode)depending on how its panned.

the next step is to be able to encode these final channels to a dvd format and burn a dvd.

do the dvd burners automatically encode or include the software to produce a playable dvd?if so what are the preferred models?

thanx in advance for the help

Maybe you'll find answers at: http://www.vcdhelp.com
It's a very good site dealing with all the aspects of DVD recording.

Nero will burn the DVDs but I don't know if it does the encoding that you need. See http://www.nero.com
