Does anybody know how, where, any anything to help me find a discrete that works for a Sony tv? My remote is an RMY-136 and the TV is a 48" Rear-Projection. I don't know the model number unless I tear it out of the entertainment center. I took the hex from this site (tried both tv and projectors) and paste it into a conversion utility (jay hoggs ir utilities) and convert the ir to lir for use with my Ocelot. I have only my DVD player accepting discretes so far, but I need the TV most. Please help! Thanks

Art,

I have an Ocelot and have used Barry Gordon's GenIRDB to create lir files. Just email me your lir file to jarmstrong@hanarmco.com and I will append the discrete power and discrete input commands for a Sony TV. I can decode your existing TV commands with Jay's tools to make sure of the device number but I have never seen a Sony TV that wasn't Sony 12 bit protocol/device 1.

If there are any other discrete commands for other equipment let me know I have a pretty good database and we can give them a try.

Thanks! I guess you just want me to input the functions I need to an lir? power toggle, video toggle, ect? At some point I would like to learn this. I have jay's tools and genirb but don't know how to use jay's fully and genirb at all. I appreciate the help. PS I have a good diagram for a video and/or audio activated relay (9v+dc) if you need for any incompatable devices. Let me know. I will send the file later, I'm at work now ... :)
