The only file I saw that sounded close to your model was SV-DVD1E. If yours uses the same device number and protocol (and that appears to be diferent from most Samsung DVD's). Then I can get you started if you want to search for them.

If you have an OFA remote it looks like setup code VCR_0432 should work and if it responds to power etc. then go to www.hifi-remote.com and it should be able tell you how to manually search for all 256 possible commands for that device using your remote.

If you have a Pronto then you can use John Fine's MakeHex program to generate all 256 commands use this protocol file:

'**************************
Device=5.5
Function=0..255
Protocol=NEC2
Frequency=38000
Time Base=564
One=1,-3
Zero=1,-1
Prefix=8,-8
Suffix=1,-84
Default S=~D
Form=;*,D:8,S:8,F:8,~F:8,_

'***************END*****************

Copy everthing between the two lines of asterisks and paste it over the NEC2.irp file that comes with MakeHex (or you can just change the device number to 5.5)

If all that fails, you can try the classic work-around of On=Play/Stop and Off=Play/Power. Many DVD's will turn On when you hit the Play button when they are Off.

If you do find a discrete then please let us know.

HTH,

Jon
