hello, I'm programming a remote for a customer. I dont have access to the tv yet, but I need to knowif the discrete codes (power.input) will work. The sony file section or discretes said for direct view televisions. Has anyone used these codes on a projection tv, specificly the model mentioned in the subject. If the discretes dont work, does anyone know if the tv hass a "blind" period when you first turn it on. -joe

Yes, they will work. I usually have about a .3 sec delay between the power on and video input sections. Also, the tv can skip video inputs. IE you can go into the set-up menu and tell the tv not to go to a specific input when you use the TV/Video scroll. I know on some Sony TVs, typically the wide screens, the tuner discrete does not work. What I do is go to video 5, then TV/video once. As far as my memory serves me, I don't think this is an issue with the 53HS. The discretes should work just fine.
