I'm concidering the purchase of an RPTV. I have narrowed my choices to Mitsubishi WS-55859 and Toshiba 50HX81. My remote is an RS 15-1994.

The question...
Which of these sets support discrete power, input and screen format IR codes?

Mitsu is better for discrete codes! Toshiba has NO discrete power, and "workarounds" for the inputs...really a 2-key macro!

Toshiba is probably the better picture.

Sorry fellas. The Tosh xxH81 and the xxHX81 do have discreet powers. As for the inputs, Nomad is correct. It is a two key macro. Press the input button, and then the coresponding input (0-5). Same goes for the screen format.

I am working on a job with a Toshiba 42H81 and have tried the descrete codes under the descrete code section of RC5000 page. The however are identical in the posting and neither one seems to work. Any Help welcome.

Thanks

Mitsubishi is much better, except I'm having a problem which I posted in another thread that I can't seem to locate Mitsubishi Net Command TV's (which the WS-55859 is one) discrete codes for the ANT-DTV input (the HD Antenna Coax input). All other inputs on the TV seem to be easily obtainable but that one.
