Hi,

I am in desperate need of discrete power codes for my new Pioneer DV646-A DVD Player.

The ones posted in the files->Discrete Codes section of this site dont work for my new player (I guess pioneer have changed the codes in the new x4x series players)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

Turn your dvd player off via the og remote.

Press play on the og remote. If it turns on, there's your discrete power on. Also if that's the case, your power off could be as follows:

Play
.2 delay
toggle power (from og remote)

Give it a try.

Hi Jose,

Thanks for the suggestion, but its not really what I wanted to do, since turning on, and starting playing for a moment, then turning off is probably not that good for the player.

Also the player has a disc memory, so I want to be able to select whether to resume the disc, rather than forcing it to play.

I will consider doing a workaround bodge only if I cant find any other way soon.

Thanks again

I see. If you don't find discretes, I'd recommend not leaving a DVD in the machine, then follow my previous post. Hope it's not the only way it can be done.
