Does anyone have discrete codes for the JVC VCR HR-A62U? The codes if the files section of the site under JVC VCR's don't work with this model.

Also does anyone have discrete codes for the DISH-4000 series of Echostar Dish Network receivers?

There are no discrete on/off codes for the Echostar 4000 receiver. There is a workaround for 3900, 4900, 6000, Dish 301 and DishPVR 501 models. It is described in this thread:

It actually works on a couple of 3700's I've tested too. Unfortunately, it does NOT work on my 4900 :( Very sad. The System Info button simply does not turn the receiver on.

Dish seems to have broken this with the introduction of the Dish Home channel. (There is another thread on this here in the discrete forum and one in the pronto forum.) I suspect once they get around to upgrading all the OpenTV receivers for Dish Home, it'll break the sysinfo functionality on all of them and there goes our workaround. :-( Here is their schedule for Dish Home:

end of February, all Model 4900 receivers will have dish home (COMPLETE)

by the end of April, all Model 3900 receivers will have dish home

by end of June, all model 4900 receivers and model 3900 receivers will be able to utilize our Customer Support Virtual Channel

This Summer, every customer with a DISH 301 or a DishPVR will be able to enjoy dish home and the Customer Support Virtual Channel
