I am working with Elan's Via touchpanel and an Aegis Security panel.. I need to know what the Elan SC-4's ascii strings are actually outputing.. They say there is a at the end, But I need to tell the Aegis what ascii character this is... Can anyone help?

The ELAN SC4 is connected to the keypad bus of the Aegis. Not the serial interface. Also if you need to see the strings, after you install the HAI drivers in the SC4, you can view the strings under edit for that port. This can be done with VIA Tools.
