I have the same problem in two different locations. Problem 1- 3 Sony HD100's off of orignal multiswitsh that came with HD dish. Two of the Sats are fine , one of them is freezing up, (it also is the shortest run). Problem 2 1 HD RCA, no problem, 1 non HD sony, no problem, 1 SONY HD 100, also freezes up. It this case all SATS are going thru a spawn 8 way. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. CB1

The standard multiswitch will only run 2 HD SAT receivers, you have to run that through a Spawn.
On the second problem, try moving the Sony HD receiver to where you have the RCA and see if it still freezes up, it might be the receiver. Also put the RCA where the Sony HD is to see if it works good there.
How long are the cables from switch to receivers, and from switch to dish. Maybe need a line amp?

The 3 HD SATS have all been working fine for a year, I have heard both ways about the standard multiswitch being able to run more than two hd recv's.
On both of these problems it has been all of a sudden. Thanks for the input.

I have several customers with 3 HD receivers on the standard Channelmaster 4x4 switch. No problems.

Just overcame a similiar problem. It was a textbook receiver problem and ended up being the LNB's. No one and I mean no one, even one of the engineers at Hughes said it did not make sense it could be the LNB. 10 minutes later vuala no more problems. The system in question was had 3 receivers 2 of which were fine consistantly the 3rd would start chirping and eventually pixelize and then search for satelite signal. I replaced every possible component in the system from the box to the multiswitch, cable, interconnects, and finally the LNB that couldn't possibly be the problem. Good luck, CMack
