Stupidly I have erased the plasma, marantz pd4200 settings from my RC5000 without having backed them up and was wondeing if anybody knew where I could get hold of the original settings files

use the Philip's, it's the same unit i do believe.

The device file can be extracted from the Default ccf from Touchscreen Setup.

Is this in the pc support package, or in the actual RC5000 default menu, as am unable to spot the obvious link in either. I would appreciate your hrlp, as it is now starting to do my nut.

Open Touchscreen Setup (the editing program for Marantz remotes)
Open "Default_New_RC5000" from the TSS file.
When it loads, expand the device tree, and click the device you want to extract.
Right-click to copy the device.
Open your file, select "replace"
When your file loads, click "Devices", right-click, and paste.
