Which VCRs have dual IR remote code sets? The old ones I am replacing have an A-B switch on both the remote and the VCR so that they can be controlled independently by Pronto.

JVC VCRs can be set to an alternate code set. First un plug the VCR, then using the orginal remote, change the remote to "B" (or A) mode, older remotes have a switch, the newer ones use a key combation. After setting the remote to B (or A) plug in the remote and press the POWER button on the REMOTE. The VCR will remember this setting until it is unplugged or looses AC.

Sony has three code sets. Sony Handycams always use #2.
