Either a small audio matrix WITH volume control, OR, a Dual zone Preamp with 232 control?
Only needs to be stereo, not for HT.
I'd appreciate your input!

Two Rotel RA-1070 (integrated amps) or two Rotel RX-1050 (receivers) would most likely be the cheapest RS-232 controlled units you'll find. Just DA any source componentry.
Extron has some medium priced audio matrices, but if memory serves me correct, they don't have full audio volume control, just gain adjustments.
Most multi-zone preamps would be difficult as most usually don't do well contorlling both zone a and b simultaneously or don't have volume control on the 2nd zone.

I went with an Altinex MultiTasker system with the appropriate cards. If you guys do commercial boardrooms or anything simmilar, you should check this stuff out. Looks pretty cool... www.altinex.com then multitasker stuff.
