Hi,
I am looking to split HDMI out of my AVR to 4 locations, the longest distant being about 50 feet. Best recommendations from you pros please? Thanks for your help and time!! Jim

50’ is dicey.  Best in class splitters are AVPro and Metra. You can safely go up to 25’ with a quality HDMI cable from the same folks.

Where it gets dicey is your long runs.  Some would use the Best 50’ cables and call it a day; others will recommend an HDMI extender over cat6 for reliability.

Next is whether it will handshake well with four displays off of one AVR. Others will chime in here.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Are all the displays the same? if not, you need a splitter that can downscale some its outputs. AVPro makes one that downscales two of its four outputs.

For 4K/HDR you will need to use active cables if distances are greater than about 5m. If you are just doing 1080P you will be fine with large gauge 50ft passive cables.

I would suggest the:

and the

but then I am biased!

Note that the splitter has built in EDID management and scaling.

Good advice right here. Brent is one of the best in the hdmi world.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
