Samsung's UN55TU7000FXZA TV is a Smart TV. It doesn't simply respond to button pushes from the remote. Sometimes a button push will get you, for instance, what's connected to HDMI1; sometimes the very same wiring connection and button push will get you the HDMI2 signal. This, by itself, can be pretty neat.
But if you use that TV in a remote control setup where you want each button push to always do the same thing, well, the TV is just stupid.
A few years ago I had custom information I got from Samsung about this TV. The steps, taken while the TV is booting, turns it into a stupid TV. Making this change can be very helpful.
My client's TV has gone back to its SMART mode and I no longer have the documentation to set it straight.
The guy I talked to at Samsung several years about this stressed that you change from one mode to another by entering signals while the TV is booting.
Anybody out there have this information?
Thanks!
