Client needs an outdoor TV that faces west (pretty much sun all day on it). It has no veranda above it, so pretty much open to the elements all the time. We're in Los Angeles, so the "elements" aren't snow, humidity but SUN, all day long. I don't think a cover will be put on much, since a ladder would probably be needed. SO, what brand(s) do you recommend that are reliable and the mfg backs up the warranty, if needed.
Will need the usual Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, ?? Hopefully I won't need to add a Roku, etc. A Directv Mini Genie will be used and ARC feeding a Sonos AMP via ARC extender (Genie is in garage rack).

We installed a Seura Ultra Brite (or equivalent) a few years ago (2017) and it's still going strong. It was installed on a roof deck and there's no shade at all.

I'm not aware that any outdoor TV manufacturer says that it's OK to put it in direct Sunlight for any length of time.

Samsung Terrace Full Sun model QN65LST9TAFXZA or QN75LST9TAFXZA. Anything smaller than 65 or larger than 75, I would lean towards Seura.

Seura ultra bright does. I was told by Seura Tech Support that mounting in direct Sunlight will decrease the life of the panel.

I’ve done a lot of Seura, Sunbright and Samsung outdoor TVs. We don’t have the snow or extreme cold where I am but we do have the Sun and ocean moisture. I don’t have a test beyond around 3 years so far but I will say I’m loving the Samsung. They are super bright and so far do well in every situation. Add that outdoor soundbar and it’s an awesome setup.

I was told by Seura Tech Support that mounting in direct Sunlight will decrease the life of the panel. Dorectly from the Seura webite: "Designed for any outdoor location, Séura® Full Sun Series™ delivers 2000-nits, color-calibrated, for the industry’s brightest direct-sun outdoor TV. The weatherproof TV is built with Séura's proprietary active heating and cooling system and boasts specs of IP55 waterproof rating, -40° F to 140° F temperature range, full array local dimming, 4K UHD and HDR, and 2-year warranty." Sounds like it can be in direct sunlight to me. And they do support their products IF there is an issue (and there hasn't been with any of my direct sun installs). There is active heating and cooling built into the full sun models. They do have models for shade that are not meant to go in direct sunlight. I would think if you put the wrong TV in for the application (which unfortunately I have seen alot of). you would decrease the life of the panel
