I figured something was up.
MIL has been offered a 2 year Spectrum TV deal. $24.95 a month, no contract, No installation fees, and you select 10 channels you want with no cable required.

The industry has been fighting this since before it was mandated. With the current FCC leadership being pretty much a industry sockpuppet, anything that promotes competition like cablecards are toast.
