I'm trying to post a couple of images here. They're at imgur and the tricks I've used in the past that have resulted in images on remotecentral have not worked.

Here's one image:

[Link: imgur.com]

And here's the same file with the details added that have made images appear here in the past:

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Thanks for any help you can give me on this. Besides, if the rules for putting images on the site have changed, we should all know about it!

Right click on the image and copy link address.
Paste it here.
Using Chrome on Win PC.

Mario is correct with Chrome in this instance because the image on the page is linked to the image file itself. So when you "copy link address" the address you copy is the image file. But...if you find an image online that is not a link you will need to "Copy image address".

In firefox right click and "copy image location" and paste it here.

You are posting the URL to a page at imgur that has the image file on it. If you look at the first link you posted it doesn't have .jpg. Thats why the image is not appearing here. If you add .jpg to the end of either of the links you posted the image will then appear.

I spaced out the https:// so that you can see the first link. h t t p s : // imgur.com/jnLXVbG . Notice no .jpg at the end.

The second link you posted is that same page (not image) link wrapped in html IMG (image) tags. Note: Remote Central doesn't need those tags anymore because Daniel made it so you just need the direct link to the image file.

You can still use an img tag wrapped url but you dont need to. The image is not displaying in the second link because you have the page url wrapped in an image tag instead of the image url. I added .jpg (to make it an image URL) after jnLXVbG from your second link. Now it works.

See changes in screenshot below:

Thank you! This allows me to post my comments about this later. Yup, I totally missed the lack of .jpg.
