Well I'm Back. Read some of the responses to my only two posts on this site. I appreciate the responses! Some good, funny! Anyway, Being a newbie in this! I will try to explain better. I had a Service call for a Xantech System. Just a keypad! It used a type of Software called Dragon 450. Didn't know Shine ola about it. The pad is a Pm110. It is a keypad with 4 Source buttons and 8 function buttons. This unit mounts in a wall, in a remote room. Pretty simple. Just assign a function to a source button, then tell it what to do in the sub function buttons. Duh! Well I was having trouble in the remote room. I would route the video but not the audio. It routes fine in the rack room, video and audio! I ran new wire, kinda draped it on the floor to see if It was that! Strange! But true. Replaced it and Everything is fine. Must've had a capictance short. Maybe who knows! I did change the cable gauge from 18 4 conductor sheilded to 22 gauge 4 conductor sheilded. Maybe this was it! Who knows? The Equipment being used is irrelevant at this point, because if its routing in the rack room with a six foot interconnect cable, Then it should work with a 150 run! Anyway! 1 rack room, A DVD player, A Vcr player and None Ir controllble Sat Rcver, using a Harmon Kardon Receiver as a switch, therefore sending Video and audio to a remote projector output. All being controlled by the Xantech pm110 touchpad in the remote room. Anyway, It just shows to go ya check your cable! Some functions might work and some might not! It may not be a programming issue!

1.You have now used your lifetime allotment of exclamation points. AT LEAST YOU DIDN'T SHOUT ! ! !

2.Every time you start a new thread, your new messages are separate from your old thread, so you should only start a new thread if you are starting a new discussion. If you have more to say about a thread you have already started, just go back to that thread and add a new response.

3.Glad things worked out. Checking the cable is indeed hard to think of because we always assume they are good. I had a similar problem in a system with audio and video isolation transformers. The ground of a BNC connector was bad on one side of the transformer, and it took me hours to find it.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
