Here's one for you guys,

This is currently in its initial stages but I will
be working on a Marantz RC9200 to control a projector, amp, dvd.

Easy so far.

However I am also going to need some way of simulating a left mouse button click for a computer from the RC9200.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to achieve this?

Cost should really be kept to a minimum if poss.

Thanks.

Get a IR wireless mouse for the PC and 'learn' the mouse to the remote.

There's also numerous IR-based PC remotes that simulate the mouse and can be taught to something like the Pronto.

Thanks Bruce,

Do you have personal experience of this combination or are there any other pieces of software you recommend, I beleive I only need basic control
(Mouse functions / powerpoint presentation).

Does this software run in the windows background or is it application specific.

Girder is exceptionally powerful (and cheap/free) software for doing this sort of thing. I've used it with the TIRA infra-red USB transciever (transmitter and reciever) from www.home-electro.com on projects to very good effect.
