I reset a dmr-e10 to factory defaults and changed the remote control code to "set code 2" I do not have a remote that will operate this code set and cannot access the "initial settings" menu from the box itself.
Can I reset the unit by pressing a combination of keys etc?

You talk about initial settings, then you talk about resetting. Do you mean the same thing both times?

What was your plan for using the unit once you changed it to code 2? All I can think of is that you have two in the same area on two different systems and you will operate this one by hand....
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Initial settings is a menu accessible through the remote control unit. Since I cannot access this menu without a functioning RC. I was inquiring if this unit could be reset without a remote, similar to the way a satellite receiver can.

I have more than 2 Panasonic devices in my system. I changed the code set so I would not operate both units at once. Unfortunately I picked the wrong set.
