Does anyone have a solution for Samsung DLP 43" & 50" discrete power and input commands? We have been working on this for 6-8 weeks. Samsung has been of no help!

Eric J please respond.

If you have a HLM or HLN model there were no discrete codes for those models. Samsung had an upgrade program which was supposed to cost $200 and be performed in home by qualified dealers but you needed to be signed up by July 31. I have not "heard" of any completed upgrades. You should check with your dealer.
Here is the link [Link: samsungusa.com] The news is not good.

We have worked with a Samsung authorized service technician and installed the upgrade. We still don't have discrete codes to be able to send to the TV!

I usually move on at this point but being that I am on an extended vacation and quite mellowed out I will point out there is a ccf in the files section that has discrete codes. Of course you'll have to test them to make sure they'll work. Let us know how they perform.

I tried the discrete CCF on the HPN6339 plasma, as all the other codes from the DLP models work on this plasma. The only discretes that worked were the power "on" and "off". I would love to find working discrete codes as well. I will be using this plasma in a system being controlled by a Crestron CP2E with a 1700c panel. I will have to resort to some very expensive alternatives in order to make this thing work.

The plasma rs232 codes should work for a Crestron control system. I did a search on the Crestron group over at Yahoo and there were numerous threads that were more than I wanted to tackle. The IR codes for the HLN617 in the files section is not supposed to control the plasma
