Greg,

That's what I thought....you WEREN'T too tired, and there was a misunderstanding above.

There are VERY few that will output PROGRESSIVELY scanned video to the component outs and INTERLACED to the composite or S-Video at the same time. You are correct, there is not a single sony that can do this. Or JVC, or pioneer, or anything in the price range.

Meridian, Krell, Theta Digital...maybe, Integra, probably....

You'll have to run it in interlaced. The perceivable difference on a projector as good as the TV-3 will probably be minimal.

Good Luck,

One player that I have just recently been using that that has parallel video outputs when in progressive is the denon DVD2900 at $1000.00. Also due out in September is the DVD2200 at $600.00. Both are universal players, but the 2900 is built on a different chassis, different power supply, better DACS and RS232 Control.

AVTAS1: You've really done it....That is very good news, I haven't tried one of those yet....

I knew that Denon had to be doing something right with their new ones.

I've tried the old 900, and 1600 and neither of those do, I haven't tried a 910,or 1200 yet. can't wait for the 2200!!

avdude I'm sorry but you are 100% wrong. I don't understand what every one here is talking about you don't need to spend $1000 to get a player that will do this. I am looking at a sony player right now and it is outputting video through composite and PROGRESSIVE component.
Model DVP-NS725
