I know that this is a forum for installers, but I was hoping for some help...I know that I can count on your groups honesty...I read what happened to the jerk that poorly posted his eBay link. Anyway, I have a Bose Lifestyle 35 and a Sony big screen and I would like to find a RF remote to control both. plus the dish. Any comments, I know the Philips TSU6000 will work.

there is also the Pronto tsu-3000 and the MX-600 that should be coming out in August some time (HTM tends to be a bit off with their dates, so most probably not before September)
Also (just to make sure) this remotes will send RF to a base, and then the base will send IR to the device.

I believe (although not sure yet as I only have the initial price list, etc.) that Bose makes a piece called a CI1 that allows their RF equipment to be controlled via IR, making any learning remote work. It is available to their Built-Invisible dealers for the Built-Invisible line of products(you can find a dealer through their website).
I'll check soon to see if that product is made to convert Lifestyle systems as well and report back.

If you contact bose they can tell you how to get the unit to send out and recive IR codes. It is in one of the set up screens on the Lifestyle 35 so you would only need an IR learning remote. Just contact Bose support for the info.

It's in the manual. Push the Settings button on the remote then scroll to System Settings. From there you can choose to send and/or receive IR. FYI, the MX-600 mentioned above is just about ready to go. Testing is progressing and it should be available in three more weeks. Of the remotes mentioned, it would be your lowest cost RF option at $249.95. Mike www.SurfRemote.com
