Why is it that they can't rely on their F1 team to support their product? Mclaren is doing very well this season (well were untill Monaco). Formula one gets huge media attention around the world, not as much as America granted, but why else would Budwiser spend $45,000,000 for 5 years of a little logo on the top of Williams car?

According to my email they have ceased production of all new product and suspended all orders until further notice.

Its not that the racing team can't support the brand it's just that there was a definite strategic plan that by this time TagMclaren audio would be making a decent profit, this obviously hasn't happened.

As Impaqt says, there was never anything wrong with the product plus excellent support / upgradeability.

Maybe it just needed more time - the AV192 is excellent.

However it was always Udo Zuckers baby and he tends to stick to his laurels.

The last two years have been very tough on many manufacturers, Tag had grand product that just didn't find the success it deserved because of the climate. Farewell indeed!
Best Regards,
Eric

Speaking of farewells, you can count our company in with that also.

Economy and other things have put us in a position that forces us to cease operation.

It's been a lot of fun, and I would like to stay in this business, but lack of finances and the area we're in forces me to get a "real" job (one I'm gonna hate I'm sure).

It's going to be hell to start from negatives and try to survive, I'm sure, but somehow I know I'll do it.

Thanks to all those that have helped myself and my company with the questions we've had. This site is a fantastic resource for anyone in this business, and sometimes a life saver. We should all thank god there is a community like this one that is willing to share and help out those in need.

Thanks again, and farewell.

John

Sorry to hear that John. Was it your company or a company you work for? Do what you need to do short term but my unasked for advice is don't ever resign yourself to working at a job you hate.

John-

Would you be able to relocate to stay in his business?

If so, I'll bet SOMEBODY would find a home you!

Just another unsolicted thought-

Well Barry, I love this business, and what I do. And since I am single (not counting the air-head GF), I wouldn't mind relocating to stay in this business. Only doing so with no funds or a means of transportation makes it a challenge.

QQQ, right now, self-preservation motivates me to take whatever I can to make some sort of living. Whether I like the work or not, we all gotta eat, right?

I do appreciate everyone's advice and concern. It's comforting to think no one is in this alone.

Thanks again people.

3,986 posts and this guy says he is quitting?

John, sorry the business has taken a dive, but I think and hope you will be back. And you are definitely not alone. Heck, keep visiting here and maybe something will open up that will work for you!

Hope you have a customer list. It can't be unethical to let your prior customers know that you could be avaiable for special projects since you will not be violating the trust of any company in doing so.

Good luck, and hope to see you soon and in better shape.

P.S. Read "Thou Shall Prosper." If its origin bothers you, get over it and read it. It is a tight read and can really clear the head.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
