I am looking for the keypad dip switch setting instructions. One of my customers has just moved to the Dallas/Ft.Worth area from out of state and has an old Audio Access piece that does not appear to be passing its IR thru each of the keypads IR receiver. I am not an Audio Access dealer but installation is pretty straight forward considering the keypads only require a 4 wire hook-up. We are major Elan dealers, but the customer for right now would rather keep his Audio Access product which is fine, we just feel bad we can't get it working for him. We are using new emitters, etc. Any ideas? Do the keypads dip switches even effect the IR receiver (I appears they assign zone #, etc. similar to the Elan Z-100 keypads, etc. Thank You for anyone's help...

The kps keypad does not pass ir. It will only accept ir from the AA remote that mimics the keypad.

It's been a while since I've worked with one of those, but I'm fairly certain the keypad *can* pass IR. The feature can also be disabled by one of the dip switches.
If you can't find anyone with a manual, contact AudioAccess and they may send you one...

As Brad said, the only IR that is passed thru the system is either from the Audio Access remote, or from the IR signal learned into the 600 programer.(dealer only item) (Just pointing a cd remote at the keypad will not have any effect on the cd player. If you have changed components to different ones that what the customer oritgnally had, this could be you problem. The emmitters are port sensitive tuner to tuner, cd to cd, ect. As far as the keypads go the IR dipswitch is for a keypad put out side or in direct light. Switch # 9 1=1 2=2 3=4
Add them together to get the right zone. dip switch up zone 1=1 up, zone 2 =2 up, zone 3= 1 and 2 up, zone 4= 3 up, zone 5= 3 and 1 up, zone 6= 3 and 2 up.
Email me I have what your looking for.
