Hi, I am new to this forum, but have visited this site several time over the last year & have decider to join. I am a A/V installer with about 9 or so years under my belt. I am also an electricain with about 16 years under my belt. I do both because I enjoy both, the A/V side of the work is constantly changing and hard to keep up with the latest & greatest on a part time basis, I try though. My question to anyone is I ahve just recently purchased a TSU 6000 and have about 10-12 hrs of tinker time in it to date. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice, or even be willing to set me up a remote for my equipment. I have learned that this thing does everything & more. I am some what computer smart, but it's seems alot more involved than I think I can handle. Please reply with some incourageing ideas. I would even like to attend a class, is there such a thing ? Thanks, Eric.

Oh Goodness... I beeter say something quick befor Star sees this.....

;-)

Anyway, If you've been lurking around the sight for any length of time, you should know the first rule of thumb is to play with the puppy and Read the Faqs.

That being said, If your ready to give up the goat, you need to be a little bit more specifc as to what you are controlling and what you would like to accomplish with your TSU-6000.

10-12 hours is a good start, you should be able to get a pronto at least somewhat working in that amount of time if you started from scratch. The best thing to do is to download some for the PP files from the files area and take a look at the techniques used to do what they did. The EasyTheater, and Danial Tonks ccf's are my personal favorites.

There is a file on this site called "newbie's diary" that will walk you right through it.
How hard can this be?

Hi, Guys I'm back. I have a Quasar VHQ660 VCR, Yamaha CDC-665 CD Changer, Hatachi DV-6605 DVD, Yamaha KX-W492 Tape player, Yamaha RX-V592 Receiver, Motorola Digital cable box (model unknown at this time and a Pioneer PDP-505HD Plasma TV, I have a TSU 6000 and would like to get it programed as easy as possible for a customer of mine. I have played around a little more since my last visit mainly with my Tivo page. I am getting the hang of this thing, but it's alot of work for just one remote. I know when it all comes together it will be great, but it seems like I'll never make it there. Please help.
