I'm a custom installer and have been using the signal meter built into the receivers I'm installing to point the off-air antenna, however I'd like to do this using a signal meter. I own a leader LF941 but am not sure where the HDTV channels are... I know that they show up as (ex) 4.1 which is channel 4, but it is actually broadcast somewhere else. Any advice or links to help me out? Thanks

This is going to vary market to market.

You can enter your address at www.titantv.com this will give you a listing of all HDTV in your with Local number, and broadcast channel (i.e. Chicago WGN is Channel 9, but HD is broadcast on CH 19)

The other thing to do is to call the station and ask them what channel they are broadcasting their HD signal on.

most are broadcast inthe UHF band.

Thanks... Titan TV did list the actual channel number next to the 4.1 channel... that helped a lot.

Is my signal meter just too old?

I have a Leader analog meter that will not detect a single digital station. I don't understand why, since there must be energy out there...any clues?

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Check out hdpictures.com it will give you all of the real channel numbers for your area on the off-ait antenna section of the website.
