(i know.. big opeing there...)
Went to a new customer's place yesterday to do an MX500 remote for them in their 'never has worked right' system they bought from a loudmouthed TV Furniture store...
When I got there, I found a Hitachi projection TV that is HD ready that hasn't ever had HD working on it...
After about 5 minuted of rehooking the system up so it'll all be integrated, the TV started to cut in and out.... It did this for 5 minuted before finally quitting altogether..
The only thing the TV would do is turn on the power supply, but there was no picture or sound at all... The remote would only turn the TV on, but not off....
Has anyone ever had this happen, and knows a cure?

The manufacturer remote wont turn it off or the MX-500 won't?
Possibly an internal harness came loose when you moved the TV out?? Especially if it had to be jerked out of a tight spot.
I hope the TV wasn't ON when moving it back and fourth. That's never a good thing.
Did you enter any service codes?? OK.. just a stab.. Good luck.. Keep us posted.

both remotes turn it on... neither turns it off....
The tv never had to be moved- it's in an accessible corner...
Haven't entered any service codes, sinceI haven't found a list of them yet.... (anyone have the discretes for a Cinema 7 type remote?)
