Hi all,

Now and then, for no apparent reason my pronto will give the dreadfull "USB Device not Recognized" balloon. I can try and attach it again but once this balloon pops up its game over. Only sollution then is to restart the pc, which is something i really hate ofcourse.

Has anybody the same issue, and if so a solution? It might be because i'am running vista 64bits. Although when it does connect it works like a charm.

Regards,
Eric

snelvuur,

I've seen this on XP. Sometimes both the computer and the Pronto must be rebooted. Mostly, I reboot the Pronto.

@snelvuur

... I don't get the msg for the pronto but I do get it for a device I use with another program; what I tried once was inserting the original program CD (in this case the installation disk for the pronto); if the pronto program attempts to start exit immediately. Now attach the pronto ... some times the PnP functin will search for device drivers and install the drivers for you ... may be worth a try. Good luck.

Still have this issue.. poped up again today. Thought maybe the new firmware would solve this. Rebooting the pronto did not help. Time to reboot.. i tend to leave the pronto connected when i'am doing a lot with it to keep the amount of reconnects to a minimum. Going to test it in vmware with windows xp, at least then i can easily reboot :)

Snelvuur, I'm also running Vista (be it 32 bit) but have never encountered this problem (both with old and new firmware).

Be aware ,there is some memory problems with pronto and logitech bluetooth memory usage. Installed PEP on my laptop, and everything was ok.
