Hi all,

Dont know if this has been here before, tried search but could not find something similar for it.

When i pick up the remote, it turns on. I can use it with infrared, but since i have the rfx9400 with it , it works the same when configured. Only difference is that for some reason when i press a button when the remote woke up after i picked it up, i can press a button but it only changes my rfx9400 to "busy" , it stays busy untill i send something else or the same button. From then on it works just fine.

I'am using it in network mode, no wifi, no encryptions.

I also wait till i have a wifi signal on the remote before pressing a button.

Am i overlooking something simple here?

I might try the RFX9400 in stand-alone mode, since you are not using anything on the network. It might be looking for the network or something similar.

Well, i could but i just want it to work ;-) after the first "wait" it works like a charm. If its a bug i want to know too. I only want to go to standalone as last resort.

Perhaps i need to send a signal, then do a wait, then send my commands so it might work?

If you are not using wi-fi in any manner, having the RFX9400 in Network mode is unecessary and might be causing the delay you are experiencing. I think it is trying to find the network then gives up.

Why did you configure the RFX9400 in network mode? It works right out of the box on stand-alone mode. Choosing stand-alone is not a last resort, it is likely the correct setting.

Ok, i'll just try it then. To be honoust, i have a switch behind the tv. so a cable connecting it to the rfx9400 was simple to do.

I changed it to a wifi connection + static ip. Now it always works with the first try. But the strange thing then is, why does it work with wifi, and not with a cable. It should not mattter..
