There have been several posts regarding Vista and compatability mode. In my work the biggest problem I had with Vista was that it does not want any application writing into the Program Files directory, where apps are generally stored. I am not sure if the editor does that. I rmember seeing some posts from Peter that discussed making pronto edit run on Vista. I am sure you can search as well as I can

If you are referring to pronto edit pro and vista, i'am running it without any modifications (just download and installed) without any issues. My main problem in the beginning was unable to sync with the pronto correctly but this was due to an older firmware in the tsu9600 itself.

I run on Vista and have no problems with the database. FYI, it is stored in
C:\ProgramData\Philips\Common Database\ComponentData.db

audioandnetwork,
Try right clicking on your Pronto Edit Professional software and configure it's compatibility mode to WindowsXP. You may need to restart things aferwards...not sure if this will do it. But probably worth a shot.
