OK timers?
Philips tell me they are still there in 9400 and 9600 - how about in the 9200?
My problem is not being able to find a manual online. Even the helpdesk thought the Quick guide and the programming guide were manuals. If they are they don't mention/bragg about timers.
In my experience if sales tells you it needs checking, if the manuals/sales blurb don't say - it ain't so.
I need timers becuase I am controlling (with a pronto 950 when it works) legacy equipment and boxes that automatically update on air and crash all settings - so I need to crash the crasher. And I might be away for 2 weeks (more than the EPG can cope with)

Red, why not create your own thread versus hijacking others. Philips is DEAD WRONG. Timers as you knew them on the NG and Classic Prontos don't exist on the 9400/9600. (see my other post).
If you care to email me privately as to with whom you spoke, I'll be sure and get them set straight.

looks like I got the answer. Thanks I rang the helpline from the UK and it sounded like I got Holland. The support guy asked on up and that response was that they haven't remove the functionality but as you say - not as we know it. I don't trust anything that isn't explicit - not as if you want to fork-out more than is necessary to be proven wise. several times over. Vendors don't respond - let alone know. All I need is the manual and I can answer the question.
As for threads. netiquette on other forums is to not proliferate threads. Ho hum.
