Well I am designing a TSU9400 .xcf for a home theater upgrade. So far so good, but I don't have the remote yet and I hope my design looks better on the remote than it does in the editor and simulator.

Anyway, I started to build my device database. Lo and behold, none of my devices are listed. There are many, many "codesets" that I must choose one at a time. (No multiline selection with shift or control.)

Is there a document somewhere that relates "codesets" to model numbers. Or is this just Pronto's idea of a cruel joke that will require me to "learn" every IR code?

Bruce

P.S. My devices are Motorola 3416, Panasonic TH65PZ750U, Denon 3808ci, and Samsung BD-UP5000. (Anticipating questions, the Samsung is a pre-order.) If anybody knows these "codesets", I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Bruce,

The pronto factory codeset is still being worked on to make it more friendly, ie: by model #. Some have been converted many others still yet to be converted.

In the meantime, try and use model #'s which may be close to your model #. Manufacturers tend to keep using the same codesets and add on if necessary, when they add new functions.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. Bruce, your suggestion will not work. For Samsung TVs, there are not model numbers, just codesets numbers. Who knows what codeset will work? Very disappointed in Philips on this.

I had the same issue with most of my equipment. I entered all the codes by learning them, didn't take much time. I have to admit though this isn't much help if you don't have the hardware in hand.
