Hello everyone, I'm new here. I have a question: I own a Marantz RC 9001. Can it work with the Philips Pronto RFX-9400 Wireless Extender? They seem structurally similar, both belonging to the Philips Pronto series

I don't believe so. I think they were paired based on serial numbers or protocols. I believe that the RC9001 requires a Marantz extender.

I found the Philips Pronto RFX-9400 Wireless Extender in a second-hand store, I will buy it at an affordable price and give it a try. I will share the result here.

I have another small question: I cannot connect to Wi-Fi without the Marantz RC-9001 Extender. I think Extender is important in this regard.

Why can you not connect to WIFI? The RFX9400 has either an ad-hoc mode or a networked mode meaning you can register it on your network.

But if your RC9001 does not have WiFi support, you will be out of luck.

I'm seeing in the manual, that via Wizz.it you can configure WiFi for this remote.

Note that WiFi will require B+G or B mode and you will likely have best results using WEP128. New WPA modes may not work.

Caveat Emptor - See this post.
