Can pronto TSU9600 support playing any video formats? For example playing short intros, demonstrations and so on?

No. You must resort to using frame-by-frame images (BMP, JPG, or PNG - No GIF/TIFF).

Have you not been reading any adjacent threads in this forum (Page 1 and Page 2)? Philips has discontinued the whole Pronto line. There are huge threads in this forum specifically about this. I doubt you will see another Pronto Firmware revision.

I've read but i don't believe that PEP3 release in november has been developed only for old device models. Time will show the truth.

PEP3 only adds TSW9500 support for download and image resizing on the fly.

The pronto does not have the processing power to do video on the fly. And, of course it has been discontinued so keep on wishing but if it were me and I needed this, I'd explore other options.
