There is a app in the android market for control of your sonos system. Ive used it and it has wickedly fast scrolling (I have over 800 artists) with full support for other sonos activities, internet radio, pandora, album art, multiroom, etc. It is just as complete and as fast as the stock controllers that come with the sonos system. Of course using my phone is no where as eloquent as a TSU9600/RFX9600 solution. Although its getting there as another app to control Denon receivers with two way feedback. Both these apps use TCPIP.
Also have tried three other sonos modules for the 9600, all have been extremely slow esp the philips, followed by PadOne. PadOne adds insult to injury as it is locked down and you cannot insert your own custom pronotscript into the module to control avr volume etc.
Just wondering why it has been so hard for someone to develop a module for the 9600. Happy to pay for one that works (as I did for PadOne (ugh), and the android version.
What's the collective thoughts of this board? Why so easy using the android OS and so difficult for ProntoScript?
