Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place but I have a Marantz 9001 and I've been reading that I can use it to control devices on a wireless network. I can't seem to get my head around how I could use this, what scenarios I'd use this for. I have a wireless network with a NAS, laptops, iPad, PS3 but can't work out how the 9001 would fit into this.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what would be possible?
Also, does anybody know if the 9001 can control RF devices?
Thanks.

The RC9001 has similar capabilites to the TS9600, so yes it can control some network devices directly through a Wi-Fi network and no it cannot control RF devices.
Many, but not all, of the prontoscript modules that are written for the TS9600 for IP controlled devices, should work.

RC9001 cannot do UDP, for example, which is typically required for discovery of UPNP devices. If the UPNP device uses a fixed IP address, you may be able to connect directly to it using TCP socket/protocol but you will not be able to discover it using UDP socket/protocol.
