Well this is usable. You can hook up an eeePC with the system. It's cheap and small and let it run the simulator the whole time.

I'm afraid this is the only way of doing it, unless someone takes the time to code a full solution.

Is that a TS client on the iPad?

I don't have an iPad, but I'm wondering what the screen would look like on an iPhone. Possibly run a TSU9400 layout on it.

Im running LOGMEIN on my laptop, which is running the simulator in fullscreen mode.

I presume I will use both iPad and Pronto TSU9600 in parallell in my stereo/HT setup. If I could communicate with the RFX9600 I would be keener to change.
I have a rather large record collection and there the iPad is lightningfast controling the Squeezeboxes. I will also use myvideos and a Dune for running the movie collection but there it might be the Pronto that wins.

I have now tried this with the "simulator hack" and it works for real, except protected PS that wont run as they dont see a real serial#.

Directly in the simulator you can use the scrollwheel, but via the VPN tunnel it doesnt work.

It runs well as a "proof of concept" but its not a solution you will live with, or even less, provide to customers.

Dont ask me for the "hack".

I got a link from a friend showing the iPad that has a real 2 way comm with A/V equipment and some home automation systems.
It even has a tool to convert the .xcf file for their program.

This looks very interesting but installers only!
