Although Philips announced it would close Pronto rather than sell it, CE Pro has learned that the company may now be engaging with potential acquirers of the remote control and home automation line. [Link: cepro.com]It ain't over till it's over!!

Reading some of the info,it seems that there might be some problems if a potential buyer wanted to move the operations to another country?

Personally I would like to see Lutron acquire the pronto product line. It's an independently owned company so they don't have to answer to some board of directors. The ownership is all about producing cutting edge and cool products even if they aren't profitable right away. In fact Lutron & Crestron have very similar wealthy ownership with a bit of an eccentric streak.
