I couldnt get the TSU9800 to work with Humax irci5400z in PEP2 (tried the database and learning IR several times).

I ve searched the forums and found a few files in CCF.

If i use CCFextractor to open the CCF and then copy paste the codes in the PEP2 database component functions, will it work, or do i need more conversion?

I ve successfully controlled many devices so far but with Humax, whatever i do i get no response

I d appreciate any help

Try using PEP v1.

PEP1 can import CCFs.

Open (import) the CCF in PEP1 and then save the required IR codes to the PEP 1 database.

Next, create a backup of the PEP1 db. Close PEP1.

Start PEP2 and go to the My Database. Select 'open other database' and select the backup you made of the PEP1.

Select the device you want (your Humax) and add it to My Database

Go to My Database. Your new device and codes should be present and ready for use.

Hope the above makes sense!

There are 3 threads at the top of this forum that are sticky. This is a link to one of them that discusses use of PEP1 to import CCF files for migration to PEP2.

Thanks for your replies

What i still dont understand is whether there is a difference in using the method you suggested (PEP1 to PEP2) with the method of using the ccfextractor.exe application to copy paste the codes into PEP2. Will the result be the same?

Copy/paste will ALWAYS provide the best results. There are some IR codes that get mangled (ones that start with 7000 for example) when going into PEPv1 and then into PEPV2. However, I have NEVER seen a CCF other than the one I posted for Streamzap remotes that contains such codes.

Some NEC protocol codes get shortened to 900A but in the Pro remotes, those usually work whereas with the NG remotes, there were sometimes issues that simply adjusting the 'Duration' setting for the IR code woould fix.

Sony Codes may require setting 'Duration' but that is irrespective of a copy/paste or import. You may have to set duration no matter what method.
