I know, there is a specific area for this question but I prefer to ask the question here because I believe that I will get more relevant/useful answers from this group.
I have been a (generally) happy owner/programmer of a TSU-9600 for a few years and have no intention of switching to another model/brand for my main home theatre system.
However, I now have a secondary system in the basement and I am up to three remotes in that room. Since I've had a Marantz RC5200 before the Pronto, I have not been stuck with multiple remotes for a long time and I am getting annoyed.
So, I'd like to get an affordable universal remote for the basement. I have seen Harmony and Acoustic Research in local stores between $100-$200. I believe this is much cheaper than the TSU 9300 (for example) and it seems Philips is not even selling Prontos in Canada anymore.
Would you have any recommendation for me? Is Harmony or Acoustic Research OK? Is there a place where I could find a 9300 for a good price?
Any insightful advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
