I am thinking of creating a new game for the Pronto. It will have a main character that can explore a map , shoot different things and find a treasure. Basic game from the 80's . I know I can cover how he walks and explores the map. The hard part for me is how to have him shoot different objects. If the last button pressed is Up on the Directional Pad followed by the Chanel Up button . He would shoot up. Press Left then Chanel Up he would shoot left. Chanel Up Is the Shoot button . I don't know how to make a bullet or arrow travel at a moving target and if there is a hit make a change to different variables.

I haven't started making the game yet so any help on how to create this would be great . It will be included in Project Boredom 3.

Thanks.

You can likely get some ideas from Andre Du Fresne's script and graphics in Kazaam.

What about arrows for movement and ring for aiming and channel +/- for fire and grenades perhaps? That's how I would do something like this.

Thanks Lyndel.
By the way I clicked on your link to mediafire.com and it did not work. Just thought you should know.

Space Invaders would be great on a Pronto. It is easy and fun to play over and over. I will look online and see if there are any JavaScript versions that can give me a idea on how the game works.

Any game that uses one button at a time to play can work on a Pronto . The games from the early 1980's would be good conversions. Dig-Dug , Donkey-Kong , Pac-man , Kangaroo , Asteroids , Joust , Robotron , Mr. Do ! , Galaxian .

" The Legend of Zelda " I think was a one one button shooter , with a second to pause and save the game . A game of this type could be made with some work . I was looking at a walk-through of the map. [Link: zeldadungeon.net]; When you break the map down into individual screens , the game looks like it is possible to make . I would like to make a game like this , but different. I would also like to make a game like Galaxian or Space Invaders . But the shooting part is the hard part for me to make.

I was thinking along the same lines. To make both hands more useful, the Page +/- could be used instead of Channel for firing.

I like that idea of using the Page buttons . If the game turns into a one button shooter maybe I can make it work with a " Users Choice " of firing buttons. For myself, the  Page -   button does not work on my remote. It stoped functioning a year ago .

I might try to make a Space Invaders style of game first .  There are only about 6 different items on the screen at once.  Your Ship, 2 Different Aliens , a UFO , Spacing Blocks and the Shots Fired at each other.
