I just purchased an Escient MX531 and everything seems to work with the TSU9600 except the volume. I do not have system wide volume controls as my amplifier has 3 different zones.

When I try to link the volume hard buttons in the Escient device to an IR code for volume, nothing happens when I press the volume button. I presume that is because the Escient page is not set up to send IR commands.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am usually good about making sure I have the most current software and firmware, but found (through speaking with Philips) that I had somehow missed a firmware update. I was used the current software with an older version of the firmware.

I can now play the Escient in all three zones, and adjust the volume.

Sorry for my confusion.
