Take a look at our next "big" module.

Release date: TBA,
Pricing: similar to prontoSqueeze

I assume this could drive the Apple TV...Can you share expected release date? Any information on supporting 9400?

In regards to Apple TV in theory, just need to convince my lovely wife I need one for testing!

Support for 9400 will be definite.

In regards to a release date it could be sooner, it could be later... I just need to iron out what we'll release for v1. There are some features I personally feel are best left done in iTunes rather than trying to do on the remote.

But like I found with prontoSqueeze enough people ask for it will find it's way into a future release.

I have an inside track on the module and it will be tested against AppleTV as that it what I intend to use it for. There is no difference between AppleTV and iTunes as regards the DACP/DAAP protocols so will work for either.

Guess this means your attention to ProntoSqueeze updates is somewhat sidetracked.

Actuall no :)

ProntoSqueeze 2.1 should be out later this week.
Changes are:
- Code for power down outside out of prontosqueeze
- Disable Power Button
- Delete Favorite
- Fast Forward / Rewind to a set position using a drag bar
- Scroll Menu changed in browse. You can now click anywhere along it to jump down the list.
- Auto start a favorite.

The video shown above was where I got to before Christmas. Then I needed a break as I was working on it to the weee hours of the morning (was getting a little burnt out). Then started the squeeze updates based on requests a few weeks ago.

So then it will be full steam ahead on ProntoTunes which really just needs a bit of debugging and a few more features.

search feature available?
also concerning the video feature: this does or doesn't actually send the video feed back to the remote?

yes Pronto Tunes will require PEP2.* as will most of the new scripts that will be released.
Pronto still one of the best Wi-Fi Remotes,

Ok a few things..

1. Lyndel is very correct you won't be getting video on the remote... You do get the first frame if it's your own video.. Kind of like getting an album cover.

2. AppleTV and iTunes are both working very well.

3. Expect release late April 2010

4. It will require PEP2.3x, and 'currently' a windows machine to do the pairing.

5. Price TBA

6. keep your eyes on the prontoProjects homepage www.prontoprojects.com for more news.

Help Required *UPDATE*

We seek a handful of pronto users to help translate the module to other languages (like we have done with ProntoSqueeze). We have German, French, Dutch, Swedish, Portuguese but we still want more!

If you can, please click the contact me link on the website http://www.prontoprojects.com
