Hi everyone,

I got my 9600 (along with the RFX 9600) about two months ago and I am having a blast!!!!

I would love to integrate my music on it, but I already have a system in place and it is not a Fireball. I am currently using Xlobby (1 server and 6 clients/zones) and I control it currently with the 9600 via Girder and a USBUIRT. I would love to be able to get the cover art on my 9600.

My question is the following - is there a creative way to get these covers on the pronto by "fooling" the system into believing it is a Fireball? (I have seen the Prontonic, but I have no clue how to get it to perform this function).

If this is not possible, what is the smallest (read cheapest) version of the Fireball server I could get to "integrate" my music library onto the Pronto. I know next to nothing about the Escient Fireball. I went on their website and got out of there more confused then when I got in (how many versions of that thing are out there???). There is a PC component that can read a music library on a HTPC. It is not clear how to use this and on which system it is supported. I also read that the iPod version can do that too and it would seem to be the cheapest solution so far. But, can you "import/integrate" your current library with the iPod version without having to load the library itself on the iPod...

I know, lots of confusing questions, but, I don't want to have to change everything I have just to get cover art on my 9600. Some kind of "cheat" or a cheap Fireball "man in the middle" solution would be the best I could hope for.

If someone could help - that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The lowest cost Fireball product that will interface in 2 way with the 9600 is the E2-100. 100gb drive, audio only, no dvd management. I cannot help you with the 3rd party applications and possible workarounds for the cover art. All of the MX and AVX products will work as well. The FP1 ipod fireball unit will also work and can be setup to look at your pc for content using a Fireball PC program and shared folders and that info will show up on the TSU9600 as well.
