is there anyway i can make the whole picture a click-able button?

A single button? You would not know which location was clicked, but:

You could make a button, use a 640x480 image for the button and size it to cover the whole screen.

If you need to tell which region was clicked, you could create a 640x480 panel and put it behind a number of almost completely transparent buttons...

So make two buttons, make each half the screen in size, position them appropriately, use a different picture of the correct size (half screen) for each button , and. . .

Perhaps I do not understand your problem

Your thread title prompts me to say make sure you're making distinction between "image" and a "button" as they are not the same in pronto pro software terminology. "image" is not a button, it can't contain "actions" so it's not clickable, "button" on the other hand can contain an image of your choice, ie. picture of your rooms.

You mean to make the distinction between a "Button" widget and a "Panel" widget. An "image" is really not a widget, but something image you can attach to a button or a panel.

It is likely that he does not know how to make a 99% transparent image that can be placed into a button such that it is pressable.

I agree, though it seems from his subsequent message (And barry's reponse) that he doesn't have to in order to achieve what we think he's trying to do.

I think I know what he is trying to do.
The only way to achieve this is to make your 2 room (images) half the size of the pronto screen and place a transparent (button) the same size over (on top)of each and give them the actions that you wanted. In this case jump to (room submenu).
You might be better off using PEPv2 because its easier working with images and resizing images on that program.

I'm sorry, this is getting a little silly. Using PEP1 (same is possible in PEP2) and assuming a 9600 with a full screen sized at 640x480 (x,y). Insert two buttons on your home screen, each sized at 320,480. Put the first (left ) button at coordinates 0,0 and the second (right) button at 320,0. on your home screen

Now using the application of your choice (Paint, Paint.net, Photoshop, etc.) make two picture image file ( Bmp, png, ...) Make these pictues each 320x480 pixels. Lets refer to them as PicLeft and PicRgt. While you are at it make two more picture files which are the color inversions of the two you just made. Lets call the PicLeftInv and PicRgtInv.

Now on each of the two buttons appearance tabs, assign the appropriate pictures to the buttons released and pressed (inverted) states. The left button gets PicLeft for its released state image, and PicLeftInv for its pressed state image.

No Transparency, No special tecniques, nothing fancy, just Pronto 101 or am I missing something ?

And, from graphic designer's terms, splitting an image into multiple pieces is called "image slicing".

I don't think he's asking about anything regarding PS, just as I wasn't talking about widgets . I just wanted to make sure he knows that an "image" or a "panel" will not have "actions" tab so it will not be clickable and that might be confusing him.
But Barry has it nailed so if original poster is reading this, that is all he needs to know, I don't think it could be any more instructive than that.
