I'm running into some trouble, as I try to get the volume bar to go up with the numbers, however they don't I'm following the dev guide, but I figure I missed something very important.

Sorry, tried to download 4 times but could never figure out what the masking of those characters were.

Did you place a _PS_DEBUG_ panel on your page and do System.print logging as the Dev Guide suggests?

Did you ensure your javascript syntacticly correct by using tool such as JSLint?

It was simply an example from the dev guide itself. I guess it was wrong because it's still based on PEP1 Simply needed a CF.widget instead of just widget.

What example? What page of the PDF. If you can point this out, I'll let Belgium know in case they are planning an update.
