Hi,
I'm new to the forum and finally got my hands on an RC9001 for my system and want to get programming it right away. One thing I'm having trouble figuring out is if there is any possible way to get Flash animations or swf files into an XCF when designing it. I've worked with transparency and PNGs to make it flashy but want to design my own with real animated menus, not just a sequence of images.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Matt

Your are out of luck as editor only supports .bmp, .png, and .jpg. The image engine in the remote is based off libpng.
Note that .gif files are also not supported so the ability to use animated GIF is out of the question as well.

Jpeg files are import-only into the editor. The file that actually gets saved inside your config file is a 24-bit .bmp version of the Jpeg. Note that .xcf file is nothing more than a zip file with different extension.

So my only option would be to export images out of a swf and have them cycle quickly enough to appear animated? How fast does the editor let you jump from image to image?

Search this forum for Frames Per Second with timeframe of 1 year as this was discussed previously surrounding TCP/IP-based cameras.
